The new version of Apple's office software is here, and with several feature improvements it's definitely a must download. Keynote is now even easier to use with several added template and style libraries to create cinema-quality presentations. Pages now offers new templates, layout and writing features, change-tracking, and more graphics tools to improve your projects. Along with several feature improvements to the existing programs, Apple has added Numbers for spreadsheets, graphs, and forms. We really think Apple has gone the extra mile to improve the existing apps, and the addition of Numbers makes iWork an even better productivity suite for Mac. If you're looking for office software for Mac, you simply can't find a better solution than the low-priced iWork suite.

  iWork

  It's pretty good!

  Pros: Straightforward and easy to use, OS X native, fast, compatible. Pages is a word processor and DTP all in one - if you don't like their templates, make your own! Numbers features the ability to put tables, graphs, etc. all on the same sheet for easy viewing. Haven't really used Keynote, but it can import PowerPoint just fine.

  Cons: Needs a database badly, I wish they would have included one. Bento is an inadequate substitute. Needs the ability to create and use macros, and more ways to customize for convenience. I guess I was hoping for a cross between ClarisWorks ease-of-use and WordPerfect Office customizability.

  iWork

  A reasonable piece of composite software but ??

  Pros: As far as it goes superb.

  Cons: I would be happier if they had continued the line of Appleworks with a composite suite of programmes which really challenged MS Office. I realise Appleworks was dated at the time iWork was released but like many users I felt it had a long way to run. It was more reliable that "Office", easier to use and more coherent in its interfaces.
