Mosso scales automatically and additional capacity kicks in as you need it. There's no hardware to buy and you only pay for what you use. Mosso is a subsidiary of Rackspace, an industry leader that currently manages over 50,000 servers and devices for customers all over the world.
Mosso was actually founded by former Rackspace employees. The vision for the Hosting Cloud was taken to Rackspace's leadership team, who agreed to fund development of the new venture, and lend Rackspace's expertise towards engineering and perfecting the platform. Because Mosso needed to cluster servers in a very unique way, the partnership with Rackspace proved invaluable.
