Magic Button is a Pocket PC task manager. Located on title bar, it does not cover any standard info, i.e. Sound icon, notification icon. It matches perfectly with the current theme. The program makes close button really close applications. Magic Button provides Task bar with running task icons, activated by tap and hold on the Close/OK button. It hides automatically when you don't need it. Map a hardware button to MB then show or hide task bar with a touch.

Version 2.1 build 70912 includes unspecified updates.

  does what it is designed to do

  Pros: helpful task switcher. Its the only way i have found to get to another program while using TomTom. Click the iTask button on my iPaq, then click the Home icon from Magic Button and i get to the today screen. Every other way i have tried just dumps me back to TomTom.

  Cons: Not to happy about being on the SD card, in that the autostart does not work.

  absolutely fantastic

  Pros: It does exactly what is says it does and I find it extremely useful being able to shut down an application at the touch of a button. Also having the icons showing in the title bar allows you to switch easliy between programmes, excellent.

  Pros: Very basic and easy to install.

  Cons: Occasionally requires a soft restart, which is merely a mild annoyance.

  Pros: I haven't had any problem with this app. As with everything, I originally loaded it to my SD. Someone said that this didn't work. It does, at least on an HTC Hermes (AT&T/Cingular 8525). But this was such a small and useful app, I reloaded it to my main memory. I've only loaded one other free apps to my main memory, so this is a strong recomendation.

  Cons: My only problem is that a few apps try to stay on the tool bar even after they are closed (confirmed closed via task manager). I does allow me to ignore when not active which eliminates this condition, but a two of the apps I need to keep active drops the icon when the focus changes to another app. it doesn't close the program, but I can't click back to it either.
