About 2,500 aircraft of all shapes and sizes will land in Oshkosh, Wisc., this week to participate in the largest annual air show in the United States, EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2008. The show, which debuted in 1953, started Monday and runs through Sunday. The show attracts around 750,000 air enthusiasts annually.
The line of homebuilts, antiques, classics, warbirds, ultralights, and rotorcraft cover 5.2 miles. But that's not all...the show features more than 500 forums conducted by aviation researchers and NASA officials. Plus, there are exhibits for all--from Kidventure to a salute to NASA's 50th anniversary.
