Microsoft gets its game on at GDC

February 20, 2008 4:17 PM PST

At the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco on Wednesday, John Schappert, Microsoft corporate vice president, speaks about the successes of Xbox and Xbox Live over the past year.

Among the milestones he touted was the fact that seven Xbox titles sold more than a million copies each during the 2007 holiday season. Schappert's comments came as part of his keynote address, a talk that also included comments by Microsoft's game development studio head, Chris Satchell, about a new initiative called Creators Club. That effort is intended to give almost anyone the ability to have games they create be distributed on Xbox Live.
